Rosacea is an inflammatory condition of the skin (mainly the face) which can make the skin look red from blushing or flushing, have visible blood vessels and can have bumps and pimples on the skin that resemble acne. Men and women between the ages of 30 – 50 predominantly suffer from rosacea, and women are more likely to get rosacea more than men.
Oils to help ease and soothe Rosacea
There are a few Essential Oils that can help improve the tone and appearance of your skin if you have rosacea. Oils that are anti inflammatory are Chamomile, Lavender, Patchouli and Sandalwood.
Oils that can help to balance hormones (rosacea and menopause can sometimes go hand in hand) and regenerate skin cells are Geranium, Neroli, Patchouli and Rose.
Carrier oils like Jojoba Oil and Rosehip Oil also help reduce symptoms of rosacea. As sufferers of Rosacea can tend to have sensitive skin, a 1% blend of Essential oils is advised.
