Mature Skin

Do you have mature/ageing skin? Maturing and ageing can have the appearance of dryness, skin can start to sag and thread veins might be visible. This could mean that your skin may be starting to lose its natural glow or its elasticity. It's likely to be developing more lines than you would like or becoming a slave to open pores.  Sometimes you may experience dry patches of flaky skin on your face.

The key to beautiful, mature skin is to be as healthy as possible and to use good quality products that help your skin regain its youthful glow.

Oils for Mature Skin:

The best essential oils to use for mature skin are Geranium, Sandalwood, Rose, Frankincense and Lavender.  Again, with facial products, I would only use a maximum of 3 essential oils in a product for the face, 2 if I think it is enough. My Nourishing Serum for Mature Skin has a blend of Frankincense, Rose and Lavender Essential Oils in it with a carrier oil blend that includes Rosehip Oil which is great for Mature Skin. Frankincense has a toning effect on mature skin, helping to restore sagging skin and improve the appearance of wrinkles.  Rose can diminish the appearance of thread veins on the skin and Lavender is valuable for many skin conditions and is soothing on the skin.

With age, the production of sebum in the skin slows down making mature and ageing skin look tired and dull.  The oils I use help to tighten and lift the skin, giving added hydration to the skin. They must be used regularly to have any effect.
