Aromatherapy to help you relax.
There are times when you need to relax and remain calm. Even if you're not normally an anxious person, there is nobody that wouldn’t benefit from some calming essential oils. Maybe you need to relax and switch off when you get home from work, or perhaps when the kids are gone to bed, you want to calm your mind and relax.
I have a range of oils that I use, recommend and work, but if you are with me for a consultation or treatment, you may choose something completely different, but it will be an oil that will resonate with you and you need.
The following oils are ones I would recommend to help you relax:
Bergamot - Bergamot is a great oil that is both soothing and relaxing. It is recommended for use on people suffering from tension, anxiety and depression. Contraindications is it is phototoxic for 48 hours
Clary Sage - Clary Sage is deeply relaxing, euphoric and revitalising. Do not use if you are pregnant, are planning to drink alcohol or are driving directly after use
Frankincense - Frankincense is the most valuable essential oil for slowing and deepening the breathing, helping to allay fear, anxiety, nervous tension and stress. It is a gentle oil which is particularly useful for emotional problems. No contraindications
Jasmine - Jasmine is warming and helps to open the emotions, helping those who are habitually repressed. It is uplifting, relaxing and will leave you in a confident, optimistic and slightly euphoric mood. Do not use in pregnancy.
Juniper - Juniper helps to drive out negative energies. Juniper is good in meditations, especially when the mind needs a spring clean. Avoid if you have kidney problems or are pregnant.
Lavender - Lavender is a balancing oil, great to use if your emotions are unbalanced and your moods are up and down. Contraindications are pregnancy. Check with your GP before use.
Neroli - Neroli is calming and uplifting, especially for those who are easily agitated, emotionally unstable or insecure and it eases the intensity of strong emotions. It calms and soothes nerves before major events. No known contraindications.
